FILMING IN CUBA

CUBA FILM PRODUCTION WITH ANTONIO LAMBERTIS @CUBANCIGARSMOKA
We just wrapped-up a week of filming an episode with Antonio Lambertis @cubancigarsmoka and Richard RIP Hamilton as executive producer in Cuba. Most of the videography was done by an outstanding Cuban crew, including sound, lighting, and most video, while the director and producer flew in from the U.S.
FILMING WITH DRONE IN CUBA
Getting a permit to fly a drone in Cuba is difficult, and even more so in the heavily visited town of Viñales. After over a month’s wait, the permit was finally approved before the scheduled start date, and all went well. The drone required a two-man crew and the Cuban authorities insisted that it be accompanied by a police officer at all times.
FILMING IN HAVANA WITH CUBAN CREW
In Havana we filmed on the malecon with several classic American cars, two 1955 Chevrolets and a 1960 Buick. Most of the filming was in Old Havana and along the malecon, with a drive through the Plaza of the Revolution and the Vedado neighborhood. Most of the videography was done by an outstanding Cuban crew, including sound, lighting, and most video, while the director and producer flew in from the U.S. The weather cooperated while filming, and it was even cool in Viñales the night we were there.
