LEGAL CUBA TRAVEL FOR AMERICANS
Updated: Oct 4, 2019
IT'S LEGAL FOR AMERICANS TO TRAVEL TO CUBA IN 2019!
It is still legal for U.S. citizens and others who reside in the U.S. to legally travel to Cuba in 2019. Though President Trump made changes to the regulations regarding travel to Cuba from the U.S., all the categories that allow travel to Cuba remain the same except for one, and that change is insignificant. Commercial airline travel between the U.S. and Cuba remains almost the same, with the Alaska airlines flight from Los Angeles to Havana being cancelled over a year ago, and a new flight from Boston to Havana added to your choices. Most Americans who travel to Cuba go there under the under the people to people category which gives anyone the option of visiting the island without having to fall under one of the other eleven more regulated travel categories. But it’s still legal to travel to Cuba from the United States in 2019! For Americans the people-to-people category continues to be the easiest way to travel to Cuba.
